Service Description

As a reading beginner, your child will focus on strengthening letter sound associations to locate sounds within spoken words, using these skills to blend and build simple words. This in-depth and engaging 20 week virtual class is taught live, and face to face with an exceptionally trained and experienced tutor. The curriculum, routines, and activities in this class are carefully crafted to ensure your child shows noticeable improvement upon completion. (Sessions are twice a week (M/T or W/TH) for 45 minutes) Reading intervention allows students the opportunity to increase their reading, writing, and vocabulary through explicitly guided instruction. This session is designed to meet the individual needs of your 1st through 3rd grade child in a small group setting. Using effective and explicit reading strategies, this service provides your child with slow-paced guided interventions to fill in the gaps that most public schools don't have time to address due to curriculum deadlines and demands. This is a virtual session which includes eight 45 minute sessions a month, with a max occupancy of 4 students per class.
